Pepin County Heritage Center Brand

Details

The "Old Courthouse Museum and and Jail" is a historical museum located in Durand, Wisconsin, housed in the only remaining wood-framed courthouse in the United States. It served as the county courthouse until 1985 and now operates as a museum dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Pepin County. After experiencing a decline in foot traffic, they came to Studio MLM for help refreshing the identity, website, and to rename the museum to more accurately reflect the experience that visitors could expect from a trip to the museum.

Background

I'm a formally trained, award-winning graphic and web designer.

I earned my BFA in Graphic Design & Interactive Media – Interaction Design concentration at the University of Wisconsin – Stout. I pursued minors in Studio Art and Art History, and continued to supplement my academic efforts by exploring web development with the intention of learning how to bridge the gap between designer and developer. 

I’ve held roles in IT design consultancy, corporate communications, client-side creative, and creative agency environments – spanning a variety of business sectors. This powerful blend of experiences has allowed me to nurture my love for both the creative and the technical. 

I’m currently based out of the Twin Cities and working as a designer for Studio MLM, an interdisciplinary design agency based in Western Wisconsin.
